Hon. Captain Supt. of Police.

Sir,

354

I have to report that on the 18th instant at 3 p.m. I paraded 3 Indian Sergeants and 17 Indian Constables, the Sergeants without their stripes and also without their numbers; and a Chinaman identified P.S. 661 Utter Singh and A.S. 547 Khaim Singh as having received bribes from him in connection with the gaming house in Cheung Hing Street.

In December 1896 P.S. 661 Utter Singh was doing duty in the Central District and A.S. 547 Khaim Singh was stationed at "Fuk Tsun Heung"; he was transferred there from Central District at the half-yearly transfer in October 1896 and returned to Central in April 97; he was in the Eastern District in the 2nd moon of last year (14 March to 13 April 96). He was transferred to Central on 15 April 1896.
